The hunt is still underway!!!

We are still searching for the perfect sitter. After many call to references and two interviews, we decided to move forward and ask two ladies to provide national background checks. One we never heard from again, and the second is just so wonderful that we are afraid to hire her. She is perfect. She is young, cute, energetic, a great singer, college educated, and looking for a nanny position until she goes back to school in August. The problem is that she is already applied for other jobs in her field and is waiting to hear from those before she gives us an answer. She would still be able to work in August, because she is taking night classes. Even if she does not get the job that she has already applied for, we are afraid that she will continue to look for something in her field. Who could blame her?
SO... I have started calling the references on a few other ladies that have applied for the position. In the meantime, Owen is staying with Mrs. Jamie and playing with his friend Jake. Jamie has also expressed some interest in keeping Owen on a regular basis, which would be great. She wants to make sure that it does not have a negative effect on Jake and that she is able to get both boys down for nap. The boys are 3 months apart in age and play very well together. I took Owen over to their house this morning in his jammies. It was so nice just having to get myself dressed.
Hopefully, by next week we will have something figured out.

Owen is continueing to talk in 2 + words at a time. "bye-bye dump truck," "I dot it", "hey mama." I know that I studied child language for 6 years and I do it for a living, but I am just amazed at what comes out of his mouth.
