Where's my raisin?

Owen just keeps us smiling everyday. He is at such a fun age. The cutest thing happened today while we were at the doctor's office. Owen was eating raisins. He looked like such a big boy walking around the room with his fat little finger in his tiny raisin box. When he dropped them on the floor, I showed him how to put them in the garbage. So a few minutes later he dropped one and when he went to pick it up, he stepped on it. He picked his foot up and it still was not there. It have gotten stuck on the bottom of his shoe. He could not figure out what had happened to the magic raisin. He was literally turning in circles looking for the raisin. I got so tickled at him.

The ENT Dr. Heindal was in aggreement with Dr. Burson. If he continues to stay in the daycare setting, he recommends having PE tubes placed and have his adenoids partially removed. Although his ears have had fluid on them for 31/2 months, they are not currently infected, but it is affecting his hearing. After much discussion, we have decided to take Owen out of daycare and hold off on the surgery to see if they will clear up over the next month. If he still has fluid in a month, or if he has another infection, we will proceed with surgery. I think that we are making the right decision.

Well, the good news is that his ears will probably start getting better the closer to 2 he gets. You know, since his euschachian (sp?) tubes will start to slant. I hate it for the little guy! Too bad he can't go to daycare anymore. He's so social! He'll like being at home too I bet.
