Owen's surgery went well! He is almost as good as new. The entire surgery took about 45 minutes. He had PE tubes put in and a partial adnoidectomy. He was pretty aggitated when he woke up. He did not like all of the monitors or the IV. Once they had taken all of that off, he was fine. The nurses had warned us that he may not eat for a couple of days, but just to make sure that he was drinking plenty of liquids. By yesterday afternoon, he had already eaten a PB&J sandwich and was asking for sausage.
Today Owen was a little fussy, but was pretty much back to normal. I fixed him cream of chicken soup for supper, unsure of whether or not he would eat it. When he saw it he thought that it was yogurt, so I went with it. He made a funny face after his first bite. I told him that it was chicken yogurt. After he had eaten over half of the bowl he said, "nont like it."
I praised him for trying it!
Honey and Papa had to go back to MS. We have enjoyed having them here for the past couple of days. Owen has especially loved the extra attention.

YAY, I'm glad everything went ok! :)
So glad everything went well. Now maybe things will settle down for you guys.
Glad you guys made it. He'll be great now. I meant to warn you about the waking up thing. Asher had this wild look in his eyes and just screamed. That was by far the worst. I'm sure little Owen had it a little rougher with the extra procedure, but he'll feel so much better now! Yay for big boy Owen!
