Hello Again!

We have been very busy the last couple of weeks. We went to Honey and Papa's house and then we came back to GA and have been busy trying to get back on schedule!

We have had a lot of changes around our house for the past 4 weeks. We found out 5 weeks ago that we are expecting another baby. I had a great idea for sharing the news on our blog, but Owen has not cooperated! We are 11 weeks along and our due date is Feburary 18th. Justin and I are very excited and eager to get the house and Owen ready for the new baby. Owen has no clue what we are talking about. When asked if he wants a baby at home he just says, "no" and continues playing. We are scheduled to find out the gender of the baby on October 3rd.

Owen had his check-up appointment with the ENT last week. They said that everything looked great! We had his hearing tested again and he is hearing within normal limits. Tympanograms and OAEs were within normal limits as well! We do not have to go back for another check-up until January.
He is growing into a sweet little boy. He is not eating as well as he used to because he is so busy, but I have been told that he will eat when he is hungry. He is now putting himself to sleep at night and sleeping through the night in his bed. We had gotten out of our routine at honey's house, but after one night of crying, we were back on track! He is saying 6 word sentences at times and copies EVERYTHING. It is amazing to me how smart they are at this age.
We are working on using manners. He has to be reminded to say,"yes mam" and "no sir" unless it is something that he really wants or wants to do. He says "excuse me" as he is walking over your foot. He will not bow his head for grace, but if you forget to say it. He bows his head for about 4 seconds and then says, "amen." He continues to be very unpleasant to take to resturants as he wants to run around just as the food arrives. We have a very long way to go, but he is doing well to be an almost terrible TWO.

Our summer sitter went back to her real job, so we are yet again without a sitter. Owen starts 2yr/2day preschool in September, and we have a very sweet lady that is coming to our house on Wednesday from 1 -until Jusitn gets home. I am going into work when Justin gets home and in September, I will work on Tues/Thurs mornings. This schedule has worked out well the last two weeks. Owen and I are staying busy, but I am really enjoying being able to put him down for naps and seeing his smiling face as he wakes up. I have been working about 2 evenings a week, so Justin has had full daddy duty. It has really been good for them. I enjoy coming in at night and hearing Justin tell me all the cute things that Owen did while he had him. It has been nice for him to get those sweet times too.

We are hoping to stay on this work schedule after the new baby comes as well. I will take he or she to work with me for the first month or so and then I will leave both the children with Justin 2 evenings a week. We are trying to plan ahead so that we are not changing Owen around too much!
