Busy girl

These were taken today while we were hanging around the house in our jammies. Meg loves sitting proped up in her Boppy pillow. Owen loves coming over and kissing all over her and she does not seem to mind much.
I took Meg to the doctor on Wednesday for a diaper rash and she weighed 8lbs. 14 oz. I was amazed and a little concerned, but the doctor said that it was a good thing. We had noticed that Meg had reflux, but it did not seem to bother her much and she was obviously eating well, so I was trying to manage it with positioning, feeding schedule, and eliminating things from my diet. But we could not get rid of the diaper rash and it stayed raw. The doctor said that it was from the high amount of acid that was passing through her body and burning her skin. So we left the office with an antibiotic ointment for her raw hiney and Zantac.
The medicine is awful. I hate giving it to her, but something is working because her bottom is clear and she is not spitting up nearly as much. The Zantac is a peppermint flavor, so you can only imagine the reaction that I receive from Meg when I put it in her mouth. Owen is even getting defensive when I give it to her saying, "NO, she doesn't like it." It is cute that he is protecting her from us, or is it? According to Dr. Kemi, most breastfed babies only need it for a month or two.
All else is going well. I think that we are on our last pack of newborn diapers, which is sad to me. I cannot believe that she is already 3 weeks old. Owen has moved up to size 6 diapers. They are a little big, so after he has wet, it sags between his legs. This should be incentive to use the potty right? Wrong! He has no interest. He will sit on the potty to go poo when I make him, but will not to go pee. I am going to give him another couple of weeks and then try again.

Thank you. I thought Owen looked like Justin when he was a baby, but she is looking more and more like Justin everyday and Owen is looking more like me. She does have his hair. We are excited about the party too. Owen is so excited about seeing all of his cousins.

I'm glad Meg's hiney is feeling better!! My boys loved to sit in their boppy's when they were babies! Good luck with the potty training!
