WANTED: Brown Bear

We have been sad for the past month because Brown Bear has been missing. He disappeared sometime after Meg was born and Owen has not seemed bothered at all his absence. Mommy on the other hand has been very upset about this. Brown bear has been everywhere with us for these past two years. (even in Owen's two year portaits) All the sudden we have so much change at our house and he is GONE.

We have been searching the house for him, but he has not turned up. We went to Bass Pro Shop a week after Meg was born, so our only guess in that he took him in and left him. He has not mentioned him, so neither have we. Well, Owen started getting sick on Tuesday and on Wednesday he started asking for Brown Bear. So, today I went to the same toy store that we purchased Brown Bear and bought another. I almost wanted to cry in the store...he did not look anything like Brown Bear. He was much too fluffy, much too clean, and did not have two years worth of wear on him. I went ahead and bought him, thinking that if Owen did not want him, Meg would.

I showed him to Owen and you could tell by the look on his face that he knew it was not Brown Bear. So I told him it was Little Bear (Brown Bear's little brother) He said, "oh" smiled and took Little Bear. That was all it took. I am still holding out hope that we will find our beloved Brown Bear.
