Gulf Shores Trip

We met Gigi & PopPop at the beach last week for a long weekend. The kids loved the beach (surprise right?) Owen got a new shovel and tried to dig to China. Aunt Stepanie did a lot of babysitting/playing with Owen. They both seem to enjoy eachothers company, especially in to fountain at Lulu's. Justin and I were able to sneak away on Saturday and go kayaking. It was so much fun. I was afraid of tipping over but unlike canoes they are very stable. We ended the weekend with a shrimp boil at the state park at Shelby Lake. Honey, Papa, Aunt Tracy, Uncle Delk, Carter, and Clayton met us there for lunch. When it was all over, Owen ended up going home with Honey and Papa for the week. I am talking with my mom at least 7 times a day checking on him. He is having a great time with them, but I am missing him very much. The house is SO quite. Meg and I are planning on leaving EARLY Friday morning to go to MS. I cannot wait to see Owen.

Meg is now four months old. She is doing well. I am note sure of her stats, we go to the doctor for her checkup on the 30th. I am sure that she is at least 15 pounds. Her sucking/swallowing issues are almost resolved. She still retracts her tongue and makes the noises when she is nursing late in the evening, usually right before she goes to sleep. I think that she is just tired and reverts back to the old behaviors. She has started talking/growling. It is the cutest thing. On Monday she was actually hoarse from growling so much. (I have no idea why she growls instead of cooing, but it is so cute!)
