Ok, so after posting these, I realize they portray my sweet family to be somewhat on the redneck side. I promise that Meg has been eating regular soil and NOT the cow manure kind! I am also sure that my biologist husband has a very good reason for planting our vegetables in Rubbermaid tubs instead of the yard. Owen and I went to Lowes on Thursday night and picked out a few plants to plant and then went to Coldstone for ice cream. Owen picked out a cherry tomato plant that he is so proud of. Our conversations on the way home were so sweet and insightful!
" Mom, you know whats inside domatoes?"
"no"
"apple juice, nice healthy apple juice"
"really"
"yeah, you squeeze it and apple juice comes right out"
"well, whats inside apples then?"
"I dont know, I gotta domato plant"
