1st battle wound

Owen was moved up to the toddler room at daycare today. It was very traumatic for both of us this morning. He cried. I cried. I decided that it should be short day, so I saw 4 patients and headed back to the daycare to pick him up. When I got to the front desk, the director starts telling me how they had a "accident" today. I was half expecting to see a limb missing, but come to find out, he was bitten by another child. This is the story that I was told. Owen was sitting in a chair and one of his "friends" wanted that chair and Owen said "no" so the "friend" bit him on the face. So my sweet baby boy has teeth marks beside his eye. He was such a little man about the situation. When I picked him up he was smiling and pointed to his eye and saying
"bo-bo." He was quite proud of his war wound. I never found out who ended up it the chair.

Daycare update- We were interviewing a few ladies to keep Owen and his friend Lily, but we have not found anyone that we both feel comfortable with. We have found a sweet lady to keep them over the summer. She is a 4th grade school teacher. She is 24 years old, married, and has no children. We are going to use her this summer and then in the fall Owen will either go back to the methodist church or baptist church playschool, or the montissouri school. The daycare that he is in is great. They have been very accommodating with his allergy issues. They allow me to bring him in anytime of the day, which is very rare among daycare centers. The only problem is that he is staying sick. I would like to find him a setting where there are fewer children per class. We will figure something out.

Funny! Someone just told me not long ago that Asher's next class is the "biting" class! Poor guys! We've got to toughen them up!
