Wild Weekend!

We have had a wild weekend! We were sad to see Gigi leave on Thursday. Owen had so much fun visiting with her! Aunt Stephanie came into town Thursday night and Honey and Papa came in Friday around noon. Owen soaked up attention from everybody. Aunt Steph brought Owen a lot of cool toys (silly string, rocket balloons, a dancing frog, sidewalk chalk, and pop rocks) They play very well together!



Aunt Steph and Owen also had a grand time crawling and chasing each other under the fold out sofa bed. This was the first time in his 18 1/2 months of life that he was WIDE awake at 10 pm. Owen enjoyed Honey and Papa swinging him in the laundry basket. It was a weekend of many first!

Justin and I enjoyed showing off our new house. It needs a lot of work, but I think that we are still up for the challange. We have spent the last three evenings working at the house. Once we got in kitchen and moved a few things around, we decided that we would go ahead and tear out the entire kitchen and start from scratch. It was very satisfying tearing the kitchen out. I felt very powerful with the sledge hammer! We have also enjoyed working in the yard. While Justin has been doing the plumbing work, Owen and I have been able to rake the back yard and get it looking nice. I have enjoyed watching Owen just roam around the yard. He is a detail child. He has to check everything out. He pretty much entertains himself in the backyard while I am working.

We were really sad to tell all of our company goodbye, but we had a great visit with everyone.
