Man of the house

Owen has taken his job as man of the house serious; he has even started shaving! Justin had to shave everyday, because of his job, so Owen watched him all the time. It is so cute how quickly he picks things up. I had taken him to get his pictures made this morning and yes, I bribed him. I told him that if he smiled for the camera and kept his hands out of his mouth, then I would buy him a toy. He did it! We went into a little gift shop when we were done and he choose this shaving kit over a toy car. It amazed me that he knew just by looking at the box what it was. He played with the brush and razor on the way home and then I made him put it away until bathtime. Usually I have to coax him into the bathtub but tonight he was so excited about playing with his shaving kit that he jumped right in.

Sweet Daddy Moment: It is hard to tell just how much Owen misses Justin, because he does not really mention him much. Tonight when he was taking a bath I was showing him where Justin keeps his shaving stuff and I put a little basket by the tub for him to put his in. He was so proud. A few minutes later, I heard a noise in the other room and looked around to see what it was. Owen said, "daddy?" It was so sweet. I know that he was hoping that it was his daddy. (FYI- noise was just a bag falling off the shelf in the closet that I had tried to fit in.)
