Taste of Town

Tonight was the Taste of Town event where local vendors set up around the square and you get to sample the foods. You purchase tokens and then redeem the tokens for food. I think that it is a fund raiser of sorts or maybe all of the vendors split the profits, not sure, but they do it every year. They also have other little carnival stuff set up like bouncy houses/slides and face painting. We had walked downtown early and were able to get into the bouncy house first. Owen enjoyed it for about three minutes and then declared it "frightnin". He needed a balloon for comfort.
Owen and Jack ate Chick-fil-a nuggets, fried rice, tootsie pops, and cup cakes for supper. Ella had blueberries and a taste of everyone else's food. Jennifer had ravioli and sweet tea and I had fried rice and penne pasta. It is a pretty neat concept. If you had the time and not pushing a stroller you could easily try everything (portions are small)

That is the main problem with living in the "country." You have to drive at least 30 minutes to do anything. And sometimes it just isn't worth it. Looks like they had fun!
