Wow! It is amazing how much changes in a year. We purchased our first home in May of last year and were full of ideas/dreams of how we were going to renovate it. Owen was only a year and half old and was keeping us very busy. We made plans to wait until we finished the house to have another baby and focus all of our attention on Owen and this old house. "We are going to completely redo this house. Its gonna be so much fun."
Then came June- We had a few things done on the house. Owen was sick with ear infections- needed PE Tubes. It is was an awful day. Honey and Papa came for support. Owen loved the attention and quickly got over surgery. "House is not looking too badly the way it is". I was not loosing my baby fat. So, while we were in ATL the day before Owen's surgery, Honey and I went shopping and bought me new summer clothes. I was happy, so what if I was a size larger than before Owen. Week later- surprise we are going to have another baby. "If I could get someone to paint this room and put a book shelf here, this house would look pretty good."
September- Justin got the opportunity to do a temporary duty assignment in Washington, D.C.
I was getting rather large. Owen was in a routine and sleeping everynight in his bed. "Justin will make so much extra in Washington that we will pay someone to redo our house." I was tired. Owen missed his daddy. I was still large. Justin missed us. Justin received word that he had been accepted for a new position with the USDA and he would be working from home.
Late October- yeah, Justin came home. "lets work on the laundry room." We had the plumbing under the house replaced. Looks great, right? We were so excited to be having alittle girl!
January- I was large. We will NEVER finish this house. I want a real kitchen sink.
Feburary- Meg came on Valentine's Day. Owen was so excited about his baby sister. We were busy changing diapers. * plumbing and sheetrock up in kitchen.
March- More diapers. More cute dresses and girly stuff. New plumbing in laundry room bathroom plumbed for extra sink. Sheetrock in laundry room. "Just get me a real sink in the kitchen and I will be happy with the rest of the house" Dish washing machine hooked up.
April- blurry. kitchen and laundry room floated.
May- Meg is sleeping through the night. There are so many diapers, swings, bouncy seats, cars, pacifiers, burp rags, rocking chairs, cribs, blocks, Thomas trains, play-doh, highchairs, and baby wipes around this tiny house that we will NEVER finish this house. Life happens. I am so thankful for the healthy babies that we have and the wonderful life that we are living. This house will wait! We are raising babies right now!

What a sweet post!! I love that April is "blurry"!! Those first months with a new baby almost always are!!
What a busy year!! I hate that we have missed so much of the past year but the short visits that we get from time to time are always fun. And raising babies is so much more fun than working on that old house anyway.
